Daniel appears as Don Josè in Bizet’s Carmen, sung in English, performed at the Roxburgh Hall Theatre at Stowe House.
British tenor Daniel Gray Bell is a recent graduate of the Royal College of Music, having obtained both a Bachelor of Music (Hons) and Master of Performance under Justin Lavender. He has also recently completed his training at the Alexander Gibson Opera Studio at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, under Iain Paton.
Operatic roles include Le Prince Charmant (Cendrillon/Alexander Gibson Opera Studio, RCS), Arbace (Idomeneo/Alexander Gibson Opera Studio, RCS), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni/Hurn Court Opera; Arcadian Opera), Nemorino (L’elisir d’amor/Celebrate Voice), Don José (Carmen/Arcadian Opera), Erster geharnischter Mann / Zweiter Priester (Die Zauberflöte/RCM International Opera Studio), Oronte (Alcina/Saluzzo Opera Academy), Lensky (Eugene Onegin/Bath Opera), as well as debuting the roles of Tenor Caterpillar (Growing Wings/Eluned Davies) and Teenage Boy (My Days as a Zombie on Earth/Darren Sng) with RCM/Tête à Tête: Odesseys. Covered roles include Rodolfo (La bohème/Hurn Court Opera). He has also performed as Toby (The Medium) with the Alexander Gibson Opera Studio at RCS.
On the concert platform Daniel has performed a number of works, including Bach's Johannes-Passion (Evangelista), Händel's The Messiah, Stainer’s The Crucifixion, Haydn’s The Creation, Schütz’ Weihnachtshistorie, Mozart's Requiem in D minor, Puccini's Messa di Gloria, and Verdi's Messa da Requiem.
